They use less energy, are easy to operate, require less maintenance, and produce more snow at marginal temperatures.

Why fan guns now and not before for the home? The initial purchase for commercial/resort fan guns can be very expensive - around $35,000 dollars per gun. All commercial fan guns use three phase 400+ volt electrical systems to run the fan and compressor, which in most residential areas is not viable. They also require lots of water at around 400PSI. The PD1 Fan Gun has been specifically designed for use in residential areas or areas that don’t have commercial capacity. PD1 requires a single phase 220V 35Amp electrical outlet - the same outlet you would use for your electric stove or dryer. Simply hook up a garden hose to your water spigot to supply the water. Average water output for residential areas is around 6 to 12 gallons per minute at 30 to 50 PSI depending on your water supply, (city / well / pool/ pond/ etc.). The more water you can supply, the more snow you will make. Water output is completely customizable to fit your needs.
